We have recently secured planning approval for an extension and internal alterations to a dwelling situated at 178c Loughan Road, Coleraine. The design brief firstly focused on improving the insulation values of the existing house which was achieved by using an external wall insulation to the entire building fabric. The extension and alterations will provide an open plan contemporary living accommodation with a landscaped south facing amenity terrace situated to the front.

McKay House, Downhill features in Northern Ireland Home & Lifestyle magazine, March /April 2012
“It was time to call in the architects. I knew of local firm, Studiorogers, who came highly recommended, so we arranged to meet with them to discuss the options. We liaised with Damien McLaughlin of Studiorogers, giving him our specific brief. While we always knew we wanted to open up the interior, it was Damien who came up with the fabulous idea for the window design.”

Zion Christian Centre situated in Halesowen, Birmingham has started on site!
Interior design and alterations for a multi-purpose church facility situated in Birmingham. The interior was inspired by the concept of creating a community park. This developed into an abstract cost effective feature carpet. The carpet design combines a selection of vibrant, eye-catching colours that will connect the ground floor rooms while also delivering a high quality design on a tight budget.

House Mills 1, Aghadowey features in 25 Beautiful Homes magazine.
Client’s Favourite Feature: The house’s layout suits our lifestyle perfectly – it’s semi open-plan so the family room leads off from the kitchen and dining area, yets it’s separate, which means noise and cooking smells are never a problem.
Enlisting the skills of architects Studiorogers, Wendy and Andy were presented with a set of designs that suited the rural landscape and the couple’s lifestyle. ‘You can recognise Studiorogers houses easily,’ says Wendy. ‘Each has the company’s signature look-designed in the traditional Irish vernacular but with a modern twist.’
Northern Ireland Homes & Lifestyle magazine talks to Michael Rogers of Studiorogers Architects.
“We try hard in Studiorogers to respond to our client’s unique needs, their programme, their budget and site. These are influences which drive the design. The most important and influential of these is the site.”

We have recently secured planning approval for a replacement dwelling situated at 178 Duncrun Road, Magilligan. Overall this proposal will reinvigorate a poorly designed site by providing a high quality contemporary dwelling that will improve the visual impact significantly and integrate fully into the difficult site topography.

Studiorogers has recently won a competition to provide a one-off family dwelling situated in Portstewart. The winning design will provide a contemporary open plan family dwelling.
The proposed design caters for the clients brief by providing an appropriate level of accommodation, including a central feature stair and wall at the heart of the house. By simply moving the house entrance to the side elevation and providing a new footpath, it allows for not only improved public circulation but an opportunity to frame the coastal view at ground floor level that leads onto a private garden. The design takes advantage of the panoramic views across the Atlantic Ocean while roof lights ensure the house will always be full of light.
We look forward to progressing the scheme on site!

There is also renovated and additional class room accommodation that will provide activity space for the communities needs.

McAuley Kitchen’s showroom, situated at Boucher Plaza, Belfast wins ‘Best Kitchen Showroom in Northern Ireland’, at the KRI Awards 2010.
It’s nice to get recognition for a job well done!
Client: “The Boucher Road showroom has been an amazing success for McAuley Kitchens.”
We worked as the interior designers for the project. The scheme provided an opportunity to design a new interior layout within an existing commercial shell only interior. The layout of the scheme was designed around a central reception desk that provides good circulation and a clear information point for customers. A new feature stair was also designed to improve circulation and provide an interesting focal point within the interior.
Judith Robinson-Lyttle, the KRI awards organiser said: “The independent judging panel found that the exterior was highly impressive with regards to signage and branding. The interior layout, design, styling and lighting scored highly and it was found that an excellent range of kitchens and appliances were on display. The interior had a superb natural flow to guide the customer through and our judges found this to be a very inviting space.”
